today's weather forecast was that of heavy rain. boy, were they wrong. i looked out the window and saw nothing but clear electric blue skies with high whispy clouds hovering in the distance.
so i packed up my bike and hit up my new favorite trail at crystal springs..a 12 mile loop.
on my ride, i saw tons of western fence lizards scurrying around the piping hot cement. back in 2005, me and my homie kogacheeks used to catch em and give them (what i thought was) a luxurious life complete with an endless cricket buffet and heating lamp.

other wildlife spotted included tons of insects and dragonflies(many which hit my face as i sped down the path), an island scrub jay, a stellar jay, american robins, various ducks, a red tailed hawk, caspian terns, white crowned sparrows, and tons of little song birds that provided the soundtrack to today's ride//
